4 DAY ORANGUTAN TOUR

DAY 1 : PANGKALAN BUN - KUMAI - PARK
Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport meet and transfer to Kumai to board our boat, a traditional Klotok with a roof which forms the upper deck from where you can view the rain forest as we glide by. The boat team includes the boatman, a cook and expert guide. Dinner and overnight on the boat. A simple mattress, pillow, meals, bottled
"mineral" water, mosquito net, kitchen and a simple toilet are available on the boat or stay in a Lodge by the river. [L,D]
DAY 2 : PARK - CAMP LEAKEY - BOAT/LODGE
After breakfast board the klotok to travel up river for about 2 hours then up
a side creek through tea colored water where you will perhaps see the the magnificent fresh water crocodile and other wildlifealong the river bank. Arrive at Camp Leakey research center for Orangutan, where the older orangutans are reintroduced into the rain forest. Spend some time trekking through tropical rainforest searching for wildlife, wild orangutan, birds and other rainforest animals as well as tropical jungle plant.
Back to the boat for lunch then witness feeding time at 14.00 pm for old rehabilitation orangutan who are given  additional food. Overnight on the boat or at the Lodge. [B.L.D]
DAY 3 : BOAT/LODGE - PONDOK TANGUY- TANJUNG HARAPAN.
After breakfast board the klotok to travel up the river for Pondok Tanguy, the rehabilitation center for ex-captive orangutans, see feeding time at 09.00am. Hike through the forest of Pondok Tanggui searching for wildlife including wild orangutan, birds and others. Afterward continuing the trip to Pesalat reforestation camp to see the reforestation project. Afternoon visit Tanjung Harapan Rehabilitation center to witness feeding time for orangutan at 15.00. Free afternoon program, we could visit village near by park, enjoy canoeing around the river. Overnight on the boat or at the Lodge. (B,L,D).
(When the weather is good, night walking around Pesalat or Pondok Tanggui searching for nocturnal animals and glowing mushroom or by boat looking for fireflies.)
DAY 4 : BOAT/LODGE - KUMAI - PANGKALAN BUN AIRPORT.
Transfer to Kumai then to Pangkalan Bun airport for next destination.(B)
