BORNEO FARM HOLIDAY - 2 DAYS 1 NIGHT
Day 01
Leave Kota Kinabalu at 6.30am to drive across spectacular Crocker Range to Tambunan, located in the Bamboo Valley. After breakfast, proceed south to Tenom to visit the famous Tenom fish farm, the terminating point of the former North Borneo Railway at Melalap, the Murut Cultural Center and Yit Foh coffee factory. Lunch is followed by a fascinating tour of the Agricultural Park, claimed to be the best in Malaysia. Overnight at either the Perkasa Hotel, with a panoramic view of Tenom from a hilltop location, or simply stay at any hotel in Tenom itself and, while sipping a cup of superb Tenom coffee at one of the local coffee houses, observe the thousands of swallows which fly into the town to roost each night.
For more adventurous visitors, homestay is also available in surrounding villages and on a variety of farms.
Day 02
Breakfast, then visit a cattle farm, a goat farm and also Malaysia's best Pamelo farm, before travelling south to Sipitang, passing through the Crocker Range. After a late lunch at Beaufort, visit the starting point of the North Borneo Railway at Weston, before continuing to Kota Kinabalu, arriving in the evening.
