Whale Sharks
The whale shark, is a distinctively-marked slow moving filter feeding shark, the largest living fish species. The largest confirmed individual had a length of over 12 metres and a weight of more than 21.5 tonnes.
Whale Sharks are constant visitors to the waters around the stunning Bornean Island of Lankayan.
The Lankayan Island is the prime location of one of our Diving Tours, it offers colorful macro fauna, fascinating wrecks and, in season from March to May, regular sightings of the gigantic and harmless whale shark.
We make no additional charge for accommodation and diving during this period of Whale Shark activity but early booking is to be advised.
